Early team news: Kevin De Bruyne remains out as Phil Foden starts during Bournemouth vs Manchester City (Premier League)
Manchester City take on Bournemouth in their latest Premier League clash this week, travelling to the south coast for the evening kick-off on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola’s travelling party is largely back up to full compliment, however there has been some uncertainty over the fitness of Kevin De Bruyne in the last few days following a revelation from the Etihad boss on Tuesday night.
Guardiola confirmed that Manchester City had taken the decision not to risk the Belgian in any part of the 1-0 win over Brentford after he felt “niggles” in his hamstring, despite his place among the named substitutes on the evening.
Elsewhere and Jack Grealish will continue to play no part for Manchester City this weekend as he recovers from a muscular problem, but could come back to the team for the clash with Manchester United next weekend.
Josko Gvardiol also remains sidelined with a slightly more serious problem, as the Croatian defender looks to overcome damage to his ankle ligaments, and may not play again before next month’s international break.
Ahead of the confirmed line-ups from the Vitality Stadium, sources across social media have offered early insight into elements of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City line-up, with the first details offered on X.
According to the information of FplToni on X, Ruben Dias and Nathan Ake both start in Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City defence on the south coast.
Elsewhere, Phil Foden and Erling Haaland also start for Manchester City forming part of an attacking formation that will once again miss a key name.
That is according to The FPL Newsletter, who report that Kevin De Bruyne remains absent from Pep Guardiola’s starting line-up.
Andoni Iraola and Pep Guardiola are expected to confirmed their respective Bournemouth and Manchester City starting line-ups from 16:30 (UK).
Now confirmed.
