Bundesliga giants Eintracht Frankfurt are reportedly keeping a close eye on the development of rising Manchester City centre-back Callum Doyle.

The teenage sensation has registered a staggering 41 appearances across all competitions so far this season on-loan at Coventry City, further establishing himself as a proven senior professional footballer following his departure from Manchester City’s academy system.

However, given the player’s sharp rise in the senior game, it comes as no surprise to now understand that some of Europe’s more prominent clubs are taking an interest in the player’s talents as the summer transfer window approaches.

With the growing trend being for English talent to flee to continental Europe for further development, the same could be set to continue in the case of Callum Doyle, as one of the Bundesliga’s finest clubs is now taking an interest in the player.

According to the information of Alan Nixon, Callum Doyle is now being tracked by German side Eintracht Frankfurt, with club scouts Nicolas Becker and Dan Hargreaves having watched the 19 year-old playing on loan for Coventry City last week.

At present, Doyle is expected to return to Manchester City this summer following a second successive loan spell in senior men’s football, and in a positive update for those wanting to see him in the club’s sky blue jersey, Nixon states that he is viewed as a future first team player under Pep Guardiola.

Callum Doyle is one of several young Manchester City talents who will have a big decision to make this summer over their future, with fellow central defensive talent Taylor Harwood-Bellis in a similar position as his loan spell at Burnley comes to an end.

While Vincent Kompany’s side will likely renew interest in the player ahead of their debut Premier League campaign under the Belgian coach, a number of more prominent top-flight sides will almost certainly monitor the player closely – including Newcastle and Brentford.

Elsewhere, the likes of Liam Delap and Joshua Wilson-Esbrand will look to further establish themselves in the senior men’s game next season, while current academy talents in Adedire Mebude and Carlos Borges may also seek moves away for first-team senior game time.
