Manchester City are one of several Premier League clubs eying a potential summer move for Lille defender Leny Yoro.

Pep Guardiola is widely expected to further bolster his Manchester City squad next summer, with the potential for additions in all positions, including in the goalkeeping department, depending on possible outgoings.

Bernardo Silva, Stefan Ortega and Sergio Gomez have all been linked with potential exits at the end of the season, meanwhile Etihad chiefs are also set to target a new midfielder and winger ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

Manchester City could also return to the market for a new defender, despite the Sky Blues purchasing Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig for an estimated £77.6 million last summer.

The 22-year-old Croatian defender has made 27 appearances for Guardiola’s side since moving from the Bundesliga to the Premier League in August.

Gvardiol has predominantly featured at left-back, as Ruben Dias, John Stones, Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake offer a wealth of centre-back experience to Manchester City.

Despite the array of options, the treble-winners are linked with signing another centre-back next summer, with City reportedly one of three Premier League clubs considering a move for teenager Leny Yoro.

Sports Witness relay a report by Le10Sport, with the French outlet claiming that Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool are all ‘contenders’ to sign the 18-year-old from Lille in the summer.

The teenager, who has made 20 Ligue 1 appearances this season, had been subject to interest by Paris Saint-Germain, although Premier League sides haven’t given up with their pursuit of the €70 million Frenchman.

Lille’s price tag could cause a transfer stumbling block however, although the French side are still bracing for bids from a number of high-profile European clubs this summer.

Manchester City have previously completed deals from the French top-flight, with both Jeremy Doku and Bernardo Silva moving to the Etihad Stadium from Ligue 1.

Doku signed for £55.5 million last summer from Stade Rennais on a five-year deal.
