Manchester City fans face travel nightmare as Premier League confirm four major fixture alterations
Travelling supporters of Manchester City face nightmare travel arrangements for two of their upcoming Premier League matches in February, it has been revealed.
City return to Premier League action this week following their exploits in crowning themselves as the best club in the world following triumph at the FIFA Club World Cup in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Victories and clean sheets against Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds and Brazil’s Fluminense, alongside seven goals across their two fixtures, saw Pep Guardiola claim his fourth Club World Cup and the first in Manchester City’s history.
Now, as Manchester City supporters hope to see a much-needed boost in performances following the club’s trophy-winning exploits in the Middle-East, they have in turn been greeted by an unfavourable schedule of fixtures in the coming months.
Starting with Manchester City’s first of four rearranged fixtures in the month of February, supporters’ last rail option leaving London Euston for Manchester Piccadilly as a direct service will depart the capital at 22:03 on Monday 5 February.
As for the club’s trip to face Bournemouth on the evening of Saturday 24 February, the final direct rail service to Manchester departs the south coast station at 18:45, with kick-off scheduled for 17:30.
