Erling Haaland’s representative, Rafaela Pimenta has offered fresh insight into the longer-term future of the Norway international amid continued interest from Europe.

Despite only joining from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022, and enduring one of the finest individual seasons in the history of English football en route to a historic treble, transfer talk surrounding Erling Haaland never fails to disappear.

While Manchester City ultimately won the player’s signature working alongside their former player and Haaland’s father Alfie, a number of other clubs to have lost out at the time retain hope of luring the 23-year-old to their stadia in the coming years.

One such name is Real Madrid, who are known to be long-term admirers of Erling Haaland’s capabilities and see the player as a future Galactico alongside the likes of Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe.

With speculative transfer talk remaining in place, Erling Haaland’s agent has been further quizzed on the player’s future, despite ongoing beliefs that Manchester City will be keen to improve and extend his agreement at the Etihad Stadium in the coming months.

Speaking during a recent conversation with media outlet Relevo, as translated and relayed by Fabrizio Romano, Rafaela Pimenta was quizzed on continuous links between Erling Haaland and La Liga giants Real Madrid.

“Erling is the master of own destiny, always,” Pimenta outlined. “He will always do what’s good for him and for Man City. When they all are open to make a change, it will happen. Erling will always be respectful.”

She continued, “For sure respect has to be on both club and player side. I’ve no doubts, Man City will respect him. If something has to happen one day, we will agree on every step together with the club. It’s always about respect.”

Despite no suggestion of anything untoward in Manchester, Rafaela Pimenta was quizzed by Relevo as to whether the 23-year-old Norway international was ‘happy’ with his current lifestyle in the north-west of England.

“You should ask him… I’m not saying the opposite; I know that but I’m not speaking for others,” Pimenta explained. “I see clear way: great sporting results come when you’re happy. Good feeling, energy… and then things happen.”

Much has also been made of a potential release clause in Erling Haaland’s existing City agreement, and terms that could favour other clubs. “It’s only Man City, Erling, his father and me knowing the details of the contract. Other clubs don’t know anything about that. No one,” Pimenta made clear.
