Manchester City confirm 23-man travelling squad to face Bayern Munich in Champions League quarter-final second-leg clash
Manchester City have announced their 23-man travelling squad to face Bayern Munich in the second-leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie on Wednesday night.
The Premier League champions continue to pursue three trophies during the weeks and months that remain this season, following an incredible up-turn in both performances and results in recent weeks.
Manchester City further extended their winning run across all competitions at the weekend, as they cruised past Dean Smith’s Leicester City at the Etihad Stadium courtesy of a 3-1 scoreline moving them closer to the league leaders Arsenal.
Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are Manchester City’s next opponents, in the second-leg of a quarter-final tie that already has Pep Guardiola’s players holding a 3-0 advantage following last week’s first portion of 90 minutes.
Goals from Rodri, Bernardo Silva, and Erling Haaland have put City in a commanding position in this tie, and will be hoping that their experiences in the Champions League in recent seasons enables them to put in a professional performance in Bavaria to secure a place in the last-four.
Ahead of the latest meeting between the two clubs this week, Manchester City have now confirmed their travelling squad list to make the journey to Germany this week.
