Confirmed Match Officials: Manchester City vs Arsenal (Premier League)
Michael Oliver will take charge of the crunch Premier League clash between Manchester City and Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.
The Premier League’s top two meet on Wednesday evening with Manchester City having the opportunity to significantly turn the tide in the title race.
A victory would leave the Premier League title in the Blues’ hands as Pep Guardiola’s side bid to win the league for a third successive season.
Manchester City beat Leicester City in their previous Premier League outing while the Gunners have stuttered, drawing 2-2 with both Liverpool and West Ham having been leading 2-0 in both fixtures.
City have won the previous seven matches against Arsenal in all competitions, including a 1-0 win the FA Cup in January and 3-1 victory at the Emirates in February.
Ahead of Wednesday’s clash at the Etihad Stadium, the Premier League have announced the Match Officials for the clash.
Match Referee
Michael Oliver will take charge of Manchester City versus Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.
The 38 year-old has refereed 38 matches so far this season, showing 136 yellow cards and two red cards.
The referee last took charge of City in October, when the Blues beat Manchester United 6-3 at the Etihad Stadium.
Assistant Referees
Oliver will be accompanied by Assistant Referees Stuart Burt and Ian Hussin.
Video Assistant Referees
Overviewing proceedings will be Video Assistant Referee David Coote and Assistant Video Assistant Referee Eddie Smart.
Fourth Official
Craig Pawson has been named as the Fourth Official.
The official will be overseeing conduct within the two dugouts, and the behaviour of managers Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta.
