Netflix unveil trailer for blockbuster Manchester City documentary covering Treble-winning season

Streaming service giants Netflix have unveiled the trailer for ‘Together: Treble Winners’ – a brand new docuseries covering Manchester City’s historic Treble-winning season.

It has been confirmed that the ‘immersive’ six-part docuseries will take viewers through Manchester City’s historic Treble-winning season of 2022/23 and bring them ‘closer to this generational, star-studded squad than ever before’.

Reacting to confirmation of the docuseries to be unveiled and released by Netflix, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said, “To win the Treble was a truly special moment for this Club and every single person involved from our players, our coaches, our backroom staff all worked so hard every single day to achieve what we did.”

The City boss went on to tell ManCity.com, “I am so proud that we continue to fight for our success, for the next trophy, for the next game. We will always remember this incredible time and I hope our fans do when watching this new series.”

Accompanying Manchester City’s official announcement on their social media channels and club website, the club and Netflix have also released the official trailer for the documentary on Tuesday, showcasing the key moments that viewers will engage with next month.

Manchester City have also grabbed the reaction of current club captain Kyle Walker to the announcement, who stated, “The 2022/23 season was incredible for the players and this football club. To win the Treble is historic and will be remembered for a long time by everyone connected with Manchester City.

“As players, we’re proud of everything we achieved and this series captures the determination, hard work and togetherness we have as a team to drive us forward and win.”

He continued, “We’re grateful to all of our fans who have supported us along the way, we could not have done it without them and I hope they enjoy the series as they relive the special moments that we shared.”

It has previously been reported that Netflix have paid a staggering seven-figure sum to obtain the footage from Manchester City’s in-house media team, beating off competition from a number of streaming giants and production companies.

It will be the second time that Manchester City have featured on a global streaming network, following on from Amazon Prime’s ‘All or Nothing’ feature covering Pep Guardiola’s first silverware-winning season of 2017/18.

It has been confirmed that ‘Together: Treble Winners’ is coming to Netflix on April 2.
