Training Gallery: Man City put together final preparations ahead of Champions League last-16 second-leg clash vs Copenhagen
Manchester City have put together their final preparations for the second-leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie against FC Copenhagen this week.
City cruised into the knock-out phase of this season’s competition with six wins from a possible six in the group stage of the competition, overseeing competition from RB Leipzig, BSC Young Boys, and Crvena zvezda.
It is the first time that Manchester City are competing in the tournament as the reigning champions, and they will be hopeful of reaching the quarter-finals given their 3-1 advantage carried into this week from the first-leg in Denmark.
City will also be taking on the contest and the competition as a whole in high spirits, currently enduring a 19-game unbeaten run across all competitions including a triumph at the FIFA Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia last December.
Coming into the midweek contest off the back of a hugely important 3-1 win over Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon, Pep Guardiola’s side will want to maintain their fine run of form heading into next weekend’s clash against Liverpool at Anfield.
Following the conclusion of the open training session at the City Football Academy training centre, here is a comprehensive look at the routines undertaken by Pep Guardiola’s European champions!
