Manchester City and Oscar Bobb are set to sign a lucrative new contract which will see the forward’s wages more than triple.

The 20-year-old is set to become the latest Manchester City first-team star to be rewarded with an improved long-term contract, with Pep Guardiola having already handed a Premier League and UEFA Champions League debut to the Norwegian this season.

Bobb, who made his first Premier League start against Brentford at the Etihad Stadium last Tuesday, has scored in dramatic 3-2 wins over both Newcastle United and Red Star Belgrade so far this campaign.

The forward made his Manchester City debut against Fulham in September and was recently awarded the Premier League Goal of the Month award for his last-gasp winner against Newcastle at St James’ Park last month.

Bobb has featured in 16 matches for City so far this season, with the club having rejected numerous transfer approaches for the Norway international last summer.

The winger has also been rewarded with his first senior international caps this season, with Bobb having made four appearances for Norway since his debut in October against Cyprus.

The 20-year-old featured in both the semi-final and final of the FIFA Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia in December and has also played in both of the Blues’ Emirates FA Cup matches this campaign – with the Sky Blues travelling to Luton Town in the fifth round on Tuesday.

Bobb is set to sign an improved long-term contract prior to the midweek visit to Kenilworth Road, with the winger expected to pen a bumper new deal until 2029 on Monday, according to journalist Arilas Ould-Saada.

The five-year deal will see his salary at the Etihad Stadium more than triple and become worth around £50,000-per-week.

Bobb will also become the first member of the current Manchester City squad to sign a contract until 2029.

Bobb’s international teammate Erling Haaland is also set for Manchester City contract talks as the club look to swathe of renewed Real Madrid interest by agreeing a fresh deal with the striker.

Goalkeeper Ederson, who’s current deal expires in 2026, has also been linked with potential new contract talks.
