Confirmed Line-Ups: Manchester City vs Everton (Premier League)
Manchester City host Sean Dyche’s Everton at the Etihad Stadium this weekend as they look to move above Liverpool at the summit of the division until the Reds play.
The Premier League champions come into Saturday afternoon’s meeting with the Merseyside club fresh off the back of yet another statement victory, this time against Brentford – who defeated Pep Guardiola’s squad in both of last season’s top-flight clashes.
Neal Maupay put Thomas Frank’s side into somewhat of a shock lead in West London on Monday night despite a largely dominant start from Manchester City, who in turn equalised with a Phil Foden strike late in the first-half.
The England international playmaker would score a further two goals to register his second hat-trick for Manchester City’s senior side, after his exploits against rivals Manchester United last season.
The meeting with Everton this weekend will precede Manchester City’s trip to face FC Copenhagen in the first-leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie with the Danish club, and some may see Guardiola’s line-up reflecting that upcoming contest.
