Manchester City have reportedly received loan offers from two clubs closer to home during the ongoing transfer market for the services of rising midfielder Kian Breckin.

The City academy midfield graduate left the club on a season-long loan during the summer market of 2023, joining Wycombe Wanderers for the ongoing campaign but struggling to secure himself consistent game time.

With the 20-year-old having been recalled by Manchester City following the reopening of the transfer market this month, officials from within the Etihad Stadium are carefully plotting the player’s next move with a view towards a more successful second-half to the season.

Upon leaving Wycombe to return to the Premier League champions, the Football League outfit stated at the time, “Kian Breckin has returned to Manchester City, with his loan spell at Adams Park coming to an end.”

The statement continued, “The midfielder made nine appearances for the Chairboys after joining in the summer, and we wish him every success for the future.”

As such, that has seemingly pointed the player and Manchester City transfer bosses in the direction of a deal closer to home, with the club in turn receiving offers from League Two sides relatively close by.

According to the information of Manchester City insider ‘Tolmie’s Hairdoo’ on X, both Stockport County and Crewe Alexandra have submitted loan offers to the Etihad Stadium over the possibility of signing midfielder Kian Breckin on loan for the remainder of this season.

Both clubs find themselves at the top end of the Football League Two table, with Stockport currently topping the league and holding a two-point advantage over title challengers Mansfield Town, despite having played a game more.

As for Crewe Alexandra, they find themselves within the play-off positions having won 12 of their opening 26 matches, alongside a further eight draws.
