UEFA announce fixture dates for Manchester City’s Champions League last-16 clash with FC Copenhagen
UEFA have confirmed the last-16 fixture dates for Manchester City’s clash with FC Copenhagen in the Champions League.
Pep Guardiola’s side were drawn against FC Copenhagen in the last-16 of the competition on Monday, with Manchester City having previously faced the Danish side last season in the Group Stages.
Manchester City qualified top of their Champions League group after winning all six matches, meanwhile FC Copenhagen qualified ahead of local rivals Manchester United in Group A.
Erling Haaland scored twice as Manchester City beat FC Copenhagen 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium last season, although the Sky Blues were held to a goalless draw at the Parken Stadium in the return fixture.
Manchester City beat Crvena zvezda, BSC Young Boys and RB Leipzig to top the group and secure a seeding for the last-16, setting up a last-16 tie with FC Copenhagen, as the Blues bid to retain their European crown.
Manchester City will play the first-leg in the Danish capital before the second-leg takes place at the Etihad Stadium.
UEFA have announced that the first-leg will take place on Tuesday 13th February, and the second-leg on Wednesday 6th March.
The first-leg will come either side of Premier League matches against Everton and Chelsea, meanwhile the second-leg will be played between clashes against Manchester United and Liverpool.
