TV broadcasters confirm important details surrounding upcoming Manchester City clash
Manchester City supporters have now been made aware of the all-important TV broadcasting details around their FA Cup third round clash against Huddersfield Town.
The Treble winners, and the current holders of the Emirates FA Cup, will begin their defence of last season’s crown with a home tie at the Etihad Stadium as they welcome Championship side Huddersfield in early January.
The meeting between Manchester City and Huddersfield Town will mark Pep Guardiola and his players’ first game of the new calendar year, but could yet close off 2023 with silverware through the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.
Looking ahead to the third round of the Emirates FA Cup in January, Manchester City and Huddersfield supporters have now been made aware of the all-important TV scheduling details around the next stage of the competition.
Following confirmation from the competition itself, Manchester City against Huddersfield Town will not be shown live on TV for viewers in the United Kingdom.

The Football Association and Emirates FA Cup have also confirmed that all 12 clubs featuring in live broadcast fixtures will receive a ‘live broadcast fee’ of £85,000 in addition to any payment from the competition’s prize fund.
Manchester City claimed the FA Cup trophy in their penultimate game of the 2022/23 season in style, defeating Manchester United in a showpiece Wembley face-off that saw Ilkay Gundogan open the scoring after just 13 seconds.
City went on to win the UEFA Champions League just a week later to complete an historic Treble success by defeating Inter at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul thanks to a single goal from defensive midfield icon Rodri.
