Confirmed Line-Ups: Manchester City vs Brighton (Premier League)

| Last Updated:

Pep Guardiola and Roberto De Zerbi have now named their respective Manchester City and Brighton starting line-ups for Saturday’s Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City are looking to bounce back from successive Premier League losses prior to the international break, meanwhile Brighton are looking for their first win in five matches, after going winless for four consecutive matches across all competitions.

Guardiola’s side lost back-to-back Premier League games for the first time since 2018, as defeats to Wolves and Arsenal saw Manchester City drop to third in the table, behind both Tottenham and Arsenal.

The Sky Blues face a series of major Premier League fixtures, with upcoming clashes against Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham.

Manchester City travel to Old Trafford next weekend and also have the chance to take a significant step towards qualification to the UEFA Champions League knock-out stages in midweek.

However, Guardiola’s current focus will be on Saturday’s Premier League clash with Brighton, with the Catalan coach handed a double boost ahead of the fixture.

Rodri returns from a three-match suspension this weekend, meanwhile John Stones could make a first Premier League start of the season after a series of recent hamstring problems.

Erling Haaland scored twice for Manchester City the last time the Seagulls visited the Etihad Stadium, netting a first-half brace during a 3-1 victory.

The Norwegian, who was on the scoresheet during the international break, tops the Premier League goalscoring charts despite scoring just two goals in his last five matches for Manchester City.
