Manchester City will discover their opponents for the FIFA Club World Cup, as Pep Guardiola’s side bid to win the competition in Saudi Arabia later this year.

The treble-winners will look to become FIFA Club World Champions for the first in Manchester City’s history in December, having qualified for the tournament as a result of winning the UEFA Champions League back in June.

Rodri smashed Manchester City to a maiden Champions League triumph in Istanbul against Inter last season, with the famous victory also securing the Sky Blues’ place in the newly-expanded 32-team competition in 2025, taking place in the USA.

The FIFA Club World Cup sees the winners of the UEFA Champions League, Oceania Champions League, Asian Champions League, CONCACAF Champions League, African Champions League, Copa Libertadores, and Saudi Arabian National League all compete against one another.

Real Madrid are the current FIFA Club World Cup holders, meanwhile Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has won the trophy on three previous occasions – twice with Barcelona and once with Bayern Munich.

The competition is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia between December 12th and December 20th.
