Confirmed Match Officials: Manchester City vs Sheffield United (FA Cup Semi-Final)
Stuart Attwell will take charge of the FA Cup Semi-Final between Manchester City and Sheffield United at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola’s side continue their treble hunt on Saturday afternoon in North London when they face Sheffield United in the Emirates FA Cup semi-finals.
Manchester City reached the UEFA Champions League semi-finals on Wednesday, beating Bayern Munich 4-1 on aggregate after a 1-1 draw at the Allianz Arena.
Erling Haaland smashed City into the lead in the 57th minute before Joshua Kimmich’s late consolation from the penalty spot.
The Blues are unbeaten in their last 11 matches in all competitions and are looking to reach the FA Cup Final for the first time since 2019, having suffered successive semi-final losses against Liverpool and Chelsea.
Julian Alvarez has scored three FA Cup goals this season, while Haaland netted a hat-trick against Burnley in the quarter-finals.
Ahead of Saturday’s showdown at Wembley Stadium, the FA have announced the Match Officials for the match.
Match Referee
Stuart Attwell will take charge of on-field proceedings at Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
This will be the 40 year-old’s third Manchester City match of the campaign so far, having taken charge of the Blues’ win over Leeds United at Elland Road, as well as the highly-controversial defeat to Manchester United.
Assistant Referee
Stuart Attwell will be accompanied by Assistant Referees Lee Betts and Darren Cann.
Video Assistant Referee
Overviewing proceedings will be Video Assistant Referee Tony Harrington and Assistant Video Assistant Referee Sian Massey-Ellis.
Fourth Official
Jarred Gillett has been named as the Fourth Official.
The official will be overseeing conduct within the two dugouts, and the behaviour of managers Pep Guardiola and Paul Heckingbottom.
Reserve Assistant Referee
Daniel Robathan has been named as the Reserve Assistant Referee.
