Southampton’s Tino Livramento has been identified by Manchester City as a possible transfer option for the coming seasons, a report has revealed.

City are expected to be on the search for a brand new full-back in the coming transfer window, especially following the initial loan exit of Joao Cancelo to Bayern Munich – with the Portugal international expected to make that deal permanent this summer.

However, top-level options in either role are set to be hard to come by for all of European giants looking to recruit in the position, and as such clubs may instead opt to monitor players for a prolonged period of time before making heavy investments.

One such name that could appear on the radar for a number of clubs is Southampton’s Tino Livramento, after the England youth international had significantly impressed for the Saints since joining from Chelsea in the summer of 2021.

A new report has stated that Manchester City are among the clubs that could continue to keep an eye on the player across the course of the coming years.

That is according to the information of Ben Jacobs, who states that Tino Livramento will be monitored with a view to a possible move over the next two or three windows by both Arsenal and Manchester City.

While it is highlighted that Chelsea have a buy-back option on the defender that becomes active in 2023, it is not thought that Stamford Bridge officials will activate it, given their existing personnel in the role.

Elsewhere as part of Manchester City’s recruitment plans for the summer transfer window are the central midfield and wide forward roles, with a number of names already identified as possible target for when the window reopens.

Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham remains the Premier League champions’ primary target, while Chelsea’s Mateo Kovacic and Mason Mount, alongside Leicester City’s James Maddison and West Ham’s Declan Rice, are regarded as back-up options.

Additionally, AC Milan’s Rafael Leao and Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are names that City officials are monitoring during the second-half of the season, with a view to making serious offers in the summer market.
