PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe is set to make a significant demand of his employers in the transfer market this summer, according to reports.

Just last summer, the 24 year-old France international renewed his deal to stay at Paris Saint-Germain, signing an extension with the club until the summer of 2025 and shutting down intense speculation that he wanted a move to Real Madrid.

Speaking at the time, Kylian Mbappé said, “I’m really happy to continue the adventure here at Paris Saint-Germain. To stay in Paris, my city.

“I hope that I will continue to do what I prefer to with you all… and win titles together! Thanks a lot.”

It is widely understood that Kylian Mbappe holds significant influence and power at the Parisian side, and that level of status within the club could now lead towards their transfer activity, with a new report revealing his desire to lure one Manchester City star to the French capital.

That is according to the information of The Sun’s Martin Blackburn, who reports that Kylian Mbappe wants Paris Saint-Germain to make a fresh move for his good friend and former team-mate at AS Monaco Bernardo Silva during the upcoming summer window.

During another summer when Bernardo Silva indicated a desire to leave Manchester City last year, it is stated that the Ligue 1 giants were one club that ‘expressed the most interest’ in signing the midfielder.

As such, given Kylian Mbappe’s influential role within the Parisian club as a whole, the report states that the French superstar will ‘urge’ his employers to make a renewed bid to sign the Manchester City star when the transfer market reopens for the upcoming summer.

However, with Silva’s existing Etihad Stadium contract running until 2025, it is explained that Manchester City are ‘unlikely’ to let the Portugal international leave unless a ‘major’ offer comes in, despite his public desire to wave farewell to the club.

Following back-to-back summers of discontent, Bernardo Silva has continued to show his disproval of life in England, most recently speaking to Portuguese media about his unhappiness with the lifestyle on offer.

Speaking to ElevenSports, Bernardo Silva spoke of life in England by admitting, “I never adapted to the cloudy Manchester, it’s a different life and different habits, but it’s a very good life – both where we are and the football here is fantastic, the level is very high.

“I won’t say it’s easy to live here (England), it’s hard away from family and friends, different culture. I’m not used to it but I’m happy with the life I have, it was a dream and I play in the best league in the world in high level for years.”

Regardless of the future of Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan – whose contract expires at the end of the ongoing season – Manchester City are expected to explore the signing of a new central midfielder, with Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham known to be a primary target.
