Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City players have returned to training at the City Football Academy on Wednesday afternoon.

The Premier League champions were granted three days off from footballing action by their manager Pep Guardiola, who looks to maximise opportunities for rest in a crucial phase of Manchester City’s season.

City travel to take on Fulham in their penultimate away game in the Premier League season, before remaining in London for the follow-up contest against Tottenham, and closing out the top-flight campaign by hosting West Ham at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City’s domestic action will continue on into another weekend after the final day of the Premier League season, as they return to Wembley Stadium once again for a second successive FA Cup final against Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United.

Following three days off from football duties, City have now returned to action at the City Football Academy on Wednesday afternoon, as Pep Guardiola and his squad look to step up their preparations for the weekend’s competitive action.
