Manchester City release stunning new limited edition Chinese New Year kit
Puma and Manchester City have unveiled a brand new limited edition shirt to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
The stunning new shirt, which combines dark blue with gold features, is part of a wider collection released by the club on Tuesday to welcome the year of the Rabbit.
The 2023 collection also includes a brand new jacket, track pants and t-shirts that “combine club heritage with references to Chinese culture that reach all the way to the moon and back”, as per an official club release.
Manchester City also say that the new collection “celebrates the loyal fans living in China, so fans from far and wide can show their love for the Sky Blues on matchday and every day even after the celebrations are over”.
Among the first-team players taking centre stage to model the new shirt are Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, and Ederson, while it is currently unknown as to whether the club will use the new shirt in any of their remaining competitive matches this season.
The likelihood is that the new release will remain a limited edition fashion piece, as opposed to a match-worn kit.
Ahead of the start of the new 2023/24 season, details concerning Manchester City’s new home, away, and third kit range are yet to emerge, but supporters can expect Puma to draw reference to the culture of Manchester once again in statement new shirts.
