Confirmed Match Officials: Southampton vs Manchester City (Carabao Cup Quarter-Final)
Peter Bankes will take charge of Manchester City’s trip to St Mary’s in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday, the EFL have announced.
Manchester City are bidding to win the Carabao Cup for a fifth time under the management of Pep Guardiola, with the Blues’ hopes of a possible quadruple still alive after the 4-0 thrashing of Chelsea in the FA Cup on Sunday.
City face Southampton in the quarter-finals on Wednesday, having knocked out Chelsea and Liverpool in the previous rounds.
The Saints’ poor league form hasn’t affected their performances in the domestic cup competitions, with Nathan Jones’ team also progressing to the fourth round of the FA Cup after a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at the weekend.
Ahead of Wednesday’s Carabao Cup quarter-final clash at St Mary’s, the EFL have announced the Match Officials for the fixture.
