Phil Foden and Joao Cancelo both start for Manchester City against Chelsea, according to reports emerging this evening.

Manchester City travel to Stamford Bridge in search of a victory that would move them within just five points of the current pace setters Arsenal – who were held to a 0-0 draw against Newcastle United on Tuesday night.

Pep Guardiola’s side will be hoping to bounce back from disappointment themselves, as a struggling Everton side managed to steal a point from the Etihad Stadium via a Demarai Gray goal in a 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon.

Ahead of the trip to Stamford Bridge, Pep Guardiola revealed that Aymeric Laporte would be subject to a late fitness test to decide his availability for the game, with the Spain international recently suffering from a back problem.

Kyle Walker was also training to his normal levels for the first time this week, as City’s manager also revealed that his first-choice right-back had been battling against ‘niggles’ following his return from international duty with England.

With many supporters debating who should start for either side tonight, reports ahead of the official round of team news at 19:00 (UK) have detailed aspects of the Manchester City line-up.

According to one source, both Phil Foden and Joao Cancelo start for Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola making changes to his defensive line in particular, as well as in his front three.

Additionally, it has also been confirmed by a separate source that all of Kyle Walker, Ilkay Gundogan, and Kevin De Bruyne start for Manchester City – while Jack Grealish is among the substitutes.

Graham Potter and Pep Guardiola are expected to confirm their respective starting line-ups for Chelsea vs Manchester City at 19:00 (UK) tonight.
