Confirmed Line-Ups: Leeds United vs Manchester City (Premier League)
Manchester City return to Premier League action following the FIFA World Cup with a trip to Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United.
The reigning top-flight champions will be keen to build on the victory of last week, when City knocked Liverpool out of the Carabao Cup via a 3-2 victory at the Etihad Stadium to book a place in the quarter-finals of the competition.
After Arsenal’s win over West Ham on Boxing Day, Manchester City go into Wednesday night’s game eight points adrift of the Gunners at the top of the league table, with Newcastle also above them in second place.
A 2-1 home defeat to Brentford was City’s last Premier League match, as an Ivan Toney brace at the Etihad Stadium sent the players into the World Cup on a sour note, with those same players now keen to right wrongs.
Ahead of kick-off at Elland Road, Jesse Marsch and Pep Guardiola have confirmed their respective starting line-ups.
