Video reveals Erling Haaland sustaining injury concern during Norway training
Manchester City will be paying close attention to a fresh injury concern appeared to have been sustained by Erling Haaland during Norway training this week.
Alongside compatriot Oscar Bobb, Haaland has travelled to link-up with his Norwegian international teammates over the next fortnight, as Stale Solbakken’s players embark on two friendly fixtures in their home country.
Meeting Czech Republic this week, Norway will then host Slovakia in a second international friendly before their players are re-released to their respective club sides for the all-important business end of the season.
However, before the first of the two contests has kicked-off, Manchester City fans have been left sweating on the fitness of Erling Haaland, after a new video appeared to reveal the club’s number nine suffering with a problem during training.
It is understood that Haaland, after limping around training, was unable to complete the session in full, however it remains unknown as to what the problem is and whether there is any deeper concern over his availability for Norway in the coming days.
Haaland’s latest concern comes just weeks after completing his recovery from a two-month lay-off from Manchester City action, having sustained a bone stress fracture during November and leaving him out of the winter period as well as the FIFA Club World Cup campaign.
Manchester City officials and coaching staff will be hoping the problem is only precautionary, with a hectic run of crucial fixtures on the horizon for Pep Guardiola and his players at the end of this month and throughout April.
City host Arsenal in the Premier League on the final day of March, while April will see the club take on Real Madrid in a UEFA Champions League quarter-final double-header, as well as an FA Cup semi-final tie against Chelsea.
Premier League fixtures away to the likes of Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace also await the club next month, while City also hold their breath to see when the top-flight can reschedule postponed trips to Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur.
