Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City players have now discovered their fate in the last-four of this season’s Emirates FA Cup following Sunday’s draw.

Manchester City became the first team to reach the FA Cup semi-finals for six successive seasons on Saturday evening, beating Newcastle United 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium to secure their latest trip to Wembley Stadium.

Bernardo Silva’s two deflected first-half efforts saw Pep Guardiola’s side take an unassailable lead, as Manchester City beat Newcastle for a third time this season and continued their bid to retain last season’s historic treble.

City, who beat Manchester United in the Emirates FA Cup Final last season, will travel to Wembley Stadium next month, with the Sky Blues looking to win a third FA Cup trophy under the management of Guardiola.

As well as Saturday’s quarter-final victory over Newcastle on Saturday evening, Manchester City have also beaten Huddersfield Town, Tottenham and Luton Town during this season’s FA Cup campaign.

The Blues’ Premier League clash with Tottenham next month has been postponed as a result of City progressing to the last-four of the FA Cup, with the Blues also needing to reschedule a fixture with Brighton.

Manchester City beat Sheffield United after a Riyad Mahrez hat-trick in the semi-finals last season, and discovered their opponents for this year’s FA Cup semi-final on Sunday afternoon, following the completed draw.

City will face Chelsea at Wembley Stadium next month in the Emirates FA Cup semi-final, with the tie taking place on Saturday 20th or Sunday 21st April in north London.

Should Guardiola’s side beat Chelsea then they would face Coventry City or Manchester United in the 2024 FA Cup Final on Saturday 25th May.
