Manchester City have began forming their preparations ahead of the Champions League final in Istanbul this week, as they trained at the City Football Academy on Tuesday.

The Premier League champions take on Serie A giants Inter at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in the Turkish city on Saturday night, in what will be Manchester City’s second-ever Champions League final.

City come into the contest off the back of a 2-1 FA Cup final win over Manchester United on Saturday afternoon, while their place in the last stage of Europe’s premier club competition was booked through a convincing 5-1 aggregate victory over Real Madrid last month.

This Saturday presents Manchester City with the golden opportunity of winning a historic treble of trophies this season, after their FA cup triumph last weekend came after their third successive Premier League title victory, and their fifth in the last six seasons.

In their first of several training sessions this week, albeit one of their final warm-ups in Manchester, Pep Guardiola and his squad have now started putting together their masterplan for the clash against Inter this weekend.

Here is a complete list of players spotted at the City Football Academy on Tuesday afternoon!

23-man Manchester City training squad ahead of Inter:

Goalkeepers: Ederson, Ortega, Carson.

Defenders: Lewis, Dias, Stones, Akanji, Laporte, Gomez, Ake.

Midfielders: Charles, Phillips, Rodri, Perrone, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Bernardo.

Attackers: Palmer, Mahrez, Haaland, Alvarez, Foden, Grealish.

Kyle Walker is the only notable absentee from the Manchester City squad, after the England international full-back hobbled off the Wembley surface during the closing stages of the 2-1 win over Manchester United.

The 32 year-old was however available for media duties within the City Football Academy training centre, as part of Manchester City’s media day ahead of the Champions League fianl this weekend.

Pep Guardiola is expected to provide a better analysis of the problem endured by Walker during his pre-match press conference on Tuesday afternoon, with full coverage of the boss’ words available on CityXtra.co.uk and City Xtra on Twitter.
