Manchester City go head-to-head once again with the current Champions League title holders Real Madrid for a place in this season’s Istanbul final.

Pep Guardiola’s side are seeking revenge for the semi-final defeat at the Santiago Bernabéu last season, when the current Premier League leaders and champions-elect come up against the La Liga giants on Wednesday night.

Manchester City – who are unbeaten in Europe so far this season and currently on a 21-match unbeaten streak across all competitions – are looking to reach their second Champions League Final in three years, following defeat in 2021 to Chelsea.

City have also won 11 straight Premier League matches to put them on the verge of a fifth English top-flight title under Pep Guardiola, most recently beating Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon, courtesy of an Ilkay Gundogan brace and an Erling Haaland header.

Manchester City and Real Madrid are meeting in the Champions League semi-finals for a third time, with Wednesday night’s hosts having suffered a 6-5 aggregate loss last season and a 1-0 aggregate defeat in 2016.

With the scoreline finely poised at 1-1 following the first-leg in the Spanish capital last week, supporters heading to the Etihad Stadium tonight are almost certainly in for a treat as they look to urge the squad on to a historic moment in Turkey next month.

Ahead of kick-off at the Etihad Campus, here is how both Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti line up their respective teams!
