The reigning Premier League champions are ‘determined’ to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham this summer as they intend to plan as normal for the transfer window despite Premier League charges for alleged financial breaches.

Manchester City were hit with 115 charges for alleged financial breaches by the Premier League on Monday, but are preparing for the summer transfer window as normal, with the Blues intent on being vindicated and clearing their name.

The recent charges, which come following a four-year investigation, have reportedly thrown a ‘potential spanner into the works’ for the Sky Blues, who were planning for a significant summer shake-up.

According to James Ducker, the club are likely to ‘impress’ their confidence of being found not guilty on any potential new targets, with the journalist further claiming that City could look to sign up to four new players.

The Blues are reportedly interested in signing two new midfielders, a winger and at least one full-back, however plans will be heavily influenced by potential departures.

Club captain Ilkay Gundogan is out of contract at the end of the current campaign while fellow midfielder Bernardo Silva has once again hinted at the prospect of moving away from the Etihad Stadium.

Joao Cancelo, who dramatically moved to Bayern Munich on-loan on Deadline Day, has the option to move to the Bundesliga permanently at the end of the season.

Manchester City have a ‘huge transfer kitty’ according to James Ducker, with the club targeting Borussia Dortmund and England midfielder Jude Bellingham.

The Blues see the 19 year-old as a long-term replacement for Kevin De Bruyne, and look set to rival Liverpool and Real Madrid for the teenagers signature, with City ‘determined’ to land the midfielder.

Bellingham had an empathic World Cup with England and has been directly involved in 15 goals for Dortmund so far this season.

City have also been linked with England midfielder James Maddison, but the club have reportedly distanced themselves from the Leicester City player.
