Andy Madley will take charge of Manchester City’s final fixture of the year on Saturday, when the Blues welcome Everton to the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola’s side will have the opportunity to move within two points of league leaders Arsenal on New Year’s Eve, after City beat Leeds on Wednesday night to reduce the gap between the Gunners and themselves to five points.

Rodri opened the scoring and Erling Haaland scored twice as City marked their return to Premier League action with a 3-1 victory, over a month after losing to Brentford at the Etihad Stadium.

The Premier League champions will play at home in the league for the first time since that late loss, hosting Frank Lampard’s struggling Everton side.

Everton are winless in their last four league outings and sit just one point above the relegation zone after losing to Wolves on Boxing Day.
