Confirmed Match Officials: Manchester City vs Luton Town (Premier League)
John Brooks will take charge of Manchester City’s Premier League clash with Luton Town at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Pep Guardiola’s side can return to the top of the Premier League table with a win over Luton Town this weekend, as Manchester City bid to further extend their current unbeaten streak at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Sky Blues, who drew 3-3 with Real Madrid in the first-leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie on Tuesday night, moved to within just one point of the top of the Premier League table with a 2-4 victory over Crystal Palace last weekend.
City remain unbeaten across all competitions since December, and thrashed Luton Town 2-6 in the Emirates FA Cup fifth round in late February, with Erling Haaland netting five goals.
Manchester City also beat Luton in the reverse Premier League fixture at Kenilworth Road, as second-half goals from Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish completed a comeback 1-2 win in December.
Luton are currently in the relegation zone, and have won just one of their past 12 matches in all competitions.
Ahead of the Premier League clash between Manchester City and Luton Town, the Match Officials for the fixture have been announced.
Match Referee
John Brooks has been named as the referee for Manchester City’s clash with Luton Town on Saturday afternoon.
The referee has officiated 30 matches so far this season across all competitions, showing 128 yellow cards and six red cards.
Brooks, who was the referee the last time Manchester City lost a game, last took took charge of Pep Guardiola’s side in February, during a 2-0 win over Everton at the Etihad Stadium.
Assistant Referees
Brooks will be accompanied at the Etihad Stadium by Assistant Referees Lee Betts and Akil Howson.
Video Assistant Referees
Overviewing proceedings will be Video Assistant Referee Chris Kavanagh, and Assistant Video Assistant Referee Dan Cook.
Fourth Official
Darren Bond has been named as the Fourth Official.
The referee will be overseeing conduct within the two dugouts, and the behaviour of managers Pep Guardiola and Rob Edwards.
