Manchester City’s Ederson poised for ambitious summer transfer interest from multiple clubs

| Last Updated:

Brazil international goalkeeper and Manchester City’s number one choice Ederson is reportedly poised for summer transfer interest from a number of clubs this summer.

It comes as a number of other Manchester City players continue to attract interest from across the European market, namely in midfield with Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva’s respective futures remaining uncertain.

The latter is expected to continue his search for an Etihad Stadium exit, having eyed such a move for the last three consecutive transfer windows, but ultimately unable to find a potential suitor willing to meet City’s financial demands.

As for De Bruyne, with the Belgian’s current Manchester City contract expiring in the summer of 2025, it is widely believed that the 32-year-old has been identified as a priority target for clubs in the Middle-East.

The latest report has now followed a similar line, with Saudi Pro League sides seemingly not limited to the idea of just signing Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City, as a new name emerges on their wishlist.

As per the information of The Telegraph’s Jason Burt, Saudi Pro League clubs are interested in an ambitious move Manchester City’s Ederson, alongside simultaneously remarkable interest in his counterpart Alisson at Liverpool.

The same report further reveals a number of other possible candidates for summer recruitment in Saudi Arabia, with Manchester United’s Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes discussed by the division.

The Telegraph goes on to quote sources who reveal that up to 10 marquee signings are being expected to be made this summer in the Saudi Pro League.

Manchester City are likely to be busy themselves when it comes to new arrivals into Pep Guardiola’s squad for the forthcoming campaign, in what is currently set to be the Catalan’s final season with the club.

A number of recruits are expected in the central midfield roles, both in a defensive and offensive sense, with Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes and West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta among the Etihad club’s priority targets.

Manchester City are unlikely to be closed off to other market opportunities however, and have already sealed a deal to bring in Brazilian international winger Savio, who has excelled on loan at fellow City Group side Girona in La Liga.
