Darren England will take charge of Manchester City’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Manchester City will look to regain lost ground in the Premier League title race in midweek, after successive draws against Liverpool and Arsenal saw Pep Guardiola’s side suffer a major blow in pursuit of a fourth consecutive title.

The Sky Blues dropped points for a 10th time this season on Sunday afternoon, as a goalless draw with Arsenal allowed Liverpool to move three points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

Aston Villa, who were the last team to beat Manchester City back in early December, could move two points behind the Cityzens in the Premier League table with a win at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Unai Emery’s side remain in fourth position , but have won just three of their past five Premier League games, following a drop in form amid pursuit of a Champions League place.

Villa beat Manchester City 1-0 at Villa Park in December, as Leon Bailey’s second-half strike secured an impressive victory for the Midlands club.
