Confirmed Line-Ups: Liverpool vs Manchester City (Premier League)
Manchester City take on Liverpool in a mammoth clash in the Premier League title race as part of a crucial month of fixtures for Pep Guardiola and his players.
City are aiming for an unprecedented fourth successive Premier League title win this season, alongside their hopes of also retaining last season’s UEFA Champions League and FA Cup glory as part of a historic Treble triumph.
This season’s Premier League title race is being seen by some to be tougher than ever, with Arsenal joining today’s two clubs alongside a level of competition from Aston Villa and Tottenham during various points of the campaign.
As for Manchester City, they travel to Anfield on Sunday afternoon in the middle of a 19-game cross-competition unbeaten streak, as well as securing victories of Manchester United and FC Copenhagen in the UEFA Champions League last-16 second-leg in the last two matches.
The month of March will also see City take on an FA Cup quarter-final clash against Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium, while Arsenal will visit the home of the Champions on the final day of the month.
Sunday’s meeting on Merseyside sees Liverpool enduring an extensive injury list, while Pep Guardiola has seen late fitness assessments made on Jeremy Doku and Matheus Nunes, with Jack Grealish ruled out through a groin injury.
