Edward Burnett

Edward is a writer for City Xtra as well as a news reporter for the Oxford Mail newspaper. Having trained at Cardiff University in News Journalism, Edward moved on to the Swindon Advertiser newspaper where he worked on a busy news desk tackling breaking incidents, features and local issues. After over a year in Wiltshire, he moved over to Oxfordshire to write for the Mail and has been there since February of 2024. Covering topics such as local celebrities like Jeremy Clarkson and Emma Watson, he has enjoyed great success with reaching audiences around the world while continuing with the breaking news and local coverage. A lifelong Manchester City fan and Sergio Aguero fanatic, Edward was been writing at City Xtra for over three years.
