Manchester City against Bayern Munich in the Champions League has now been allocated dates and kick-off times following Friday afternoon’s draw.

Pep Guardiola will be facing Bayern Munich for only the third and fourth time in his managerial career, after knocking the German side out at the quarter-final stage of the 2008/09 Champions League season en route to winning the competition with Barcelona.

Elsewhere, Joao Cancelo will be eligible to play for Bayern Munich, with Manchester City confirming on Friday that they have no agreement in his six-month loan to that prevents him from featuring against his parent club.

Ahead of the two-legged contest in April, UEFA have now confirmed the fixture details for both the first and second-legs.

Manchester City will play the first-leg at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday 11th April with kick-off scheduled for 20:00 (UK).

As for the return-leg, City will travel to the Allianz Arena in Munich on Wednesday 19th April, with kick-off again scheduled for 20:00 (UK).

Should Manchester City progress past Bayern Munich at the quarter-final stage of the competition, they will face the winner of Real Madrid against Chelsea in the last-four of Europe’s premier club competition.

Real Madrid would be a repeat of last season’s semi-final tie, when the Spanish club progressed to a final and went on to win the competition once again. As for Chelsea, that contest would represent a repeat of the 2021 Champions League final.
