20 Manchester City players called up for international duty in March

Manchester City will have a total of 20 first-team players representing their nations during the upcoming March international break.

Following the conclusion of the Qatar World Cup back in December, national teams will now quickly turn their attentions to the next upcoming tournaments, which in Europe is the 2024 European Championships in Germany.

Qualification for the competition begins this month, with Gareth Southgate’s England squad facing tough opening fixtures against Italy and Ukraine during the upcoming international break.

Spain will begin their qualification campaign against Erling Haaland’s Norway next weekend, while Portugal start against Liechtenstein in Group J.

Manchester City face a defining period following the international break, with the Blues resuming their hunt for the Premier League title against Liverpool on Saturday 1st April at the Etihad Stadium.

The Sky Blues will also have a Champions League quarter-final to contend with next month against Bayern Munich, after thrashing RB Leipzig 7-0 on Tuesday evening to empathetically secure their place in the next round.
