Daniele Orsato will take charge of Manchester City’s Champions League quarter-final second-leg clash with Real Madrid on Wednesday evening.

Pep Guardiola’s side are looking to reach the UEFA Champions League semi-finals for the fourth consecutive season, and dump 14-time winners Real Madrid out of the competition for a second successive year in midweek.

Manchester City thumped the La Liga heavyweights at the Etihad Stadium in the semi-final second-leg last season, and will be looking to emulate the performance after a 3-3 draw at the Santiago Bernabéu last Tuesday.

Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden and Josko Gvardiol were all on the scoresheet during an enthralling six-goal first-leg quarter-final clash, with Manchester City coming from behind to take a 2-3 second-half lead, only for Federico Valverde to equalise in the 79th minute with a superb volley.

City are unbeaten in their past 27 matches across all competitions, having further extended the streak with a 5-1 Premier League win over Luton Town on Saturday afternoon at the Etihad Stadium.

The Sky Blues are also unbeaten in the Champions League since May 2022, when Manchester City suffered a dramatic defeat to Real Madrid in the semi-finals.

Ahead of Wednesday’s defining second-leg at the Etihad Stadium, UEFA have announced the Match Officials for the return leg of the quarter-final clash between Manchester City and Real Madrid.
