Manchester City will undoubtedly be buoyed by the ongoing training ground activities being undertaken by two of their most important stars during the international break.

Pep Guardiola and his players are expected to return to training ground duties from Wednesday evening, as the club plan their strategy for the meeting with Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester City have the opportunity to lead the Premier League table, depending on Liverpool’s result, should they manage victory over Arsenal heading into a mammoth April fixture list across all competitions.

Guardiola and his coaching staff will certainly look forward to April with less pressure should they have a squad list at full compliment and without injury concern, and the latest update will aid that feeling of positivity after a number of problems during the international break.

As revealed in imagery released by Manchester City this week, attacking duo Jack Grealish and Kevin De Bruyne have both been training on the City Football Academy surfaces during the ongoing international break.

Grealish has been continuing his recovery from a groin problem sustained on two separate occassions, with the most recent issue arising after a swift rehabilitation process that City now feel was too short.

Following the problem sustained against Luton Town in the FA Cup fifth round, Manchester City enabled Jack Grealish to take an extended period of time away from the club to sufficiently recover from the reoccurring injury.

As for Kevin De Bruyne, City have been aiming to manage his game-time and workload since his return from hamstring surgery undertaken last summer, while a ‘niggle’ prevented him from linking up with his Belgian international teammates over the past fortnight.

Elsewhere and Kyle Walker will be assessed by Manchester City medical professional this week having sustained a hamstring problem for England against Brazil, while Manuel Akanji has picked up a knock while on duty with Switzerland.
