Brighton forward Julio Enciso has failed to rule out a potential move to Manchester City, after rumours surrounding the Paraguayan’s future at the AMEX Stadium.

The 19 year-old, who scored a stunning equalising goal against Manchester City for Brighton in the Premier League last month, has enjoyed an impressive campaign on the south coast with the Seagulls.

Enciso netted an incredible long-range strike in the 38th minute, cancelling out Phil Foden’s opening goal and securing Brighton’s place in the Europa League next season.

The South American joined Brighton in 2022 and has made 26 appearances across three competitions for Roberto De Zerbi’s side over the course of the campaign.

As well as being directly involved in six goals in 20 Premier League appearances, the teenager has also featured in the Carabao Cup and Emirates FA Cup, with Brighton reaching the semi-final stages of the latter competition.

A series of Brighton players have been linked with potential departures from the AMEX this summer, with moves for Alexis Mac Allister and Moisés Caicedo mooted.

Mac Allister, who was reportedly a midfield target for Manchester City, is widely claimed to be closing in on a move to Liverpool.

City also pursued a deal for full-back Marc Cucurella last summer, however the defender completed a move to Chelsea, after the Sky Blues opted out of a transfer due to the 24 year-olds price tag.

Enciso is another player claimed to be of interest to Manchester City, and in a recent interview with Tigo Sports, the teenager wouldn’t rule out a future move to the Etihad Stadium.

“My agent didn’t tell me anything about that. The same thing happened when I moved to Brighton,” revealed Enciso.

“I think if it’s going to happen, it will and if not then I need to continue to work hard.

“It gives me a lot of motivation to have teams show interest.”

The South American also highlighted the impact and influence of three current Manchester City players on his game.

“I like to look at a lot of players, like Rashford. He’s a lightning bolt. He’s so fast.

“De Bruyne is a great player, Bernardo Silva too. He’s small but it’s impossible to get the ball away from him.

“Foden is someone I like too, he’s the first person I swapped my shirt with.”
