Manchester City have put together their final preparations for their Champions League quarter-final second-leg showdown with Bayern Munich this week.

The Premier League champions make the trip to Bavaria on Wednesday night full of confidence after yet another commanding result in domestic action at the weekend, and a dominant scoreline in the first-leg.

Goals from Rodri, Bernardo Silva, and Erling Haaland have given Manchester City an important 0-3 advantage heading into the clash at the Allianz Arena, meaning at a very minimum Bayern Munich will need to score four goals without reply to progress.

Manchester City’s form across all competitions will give their supporters and players alike plenty of hope that they can once again reach the semi-finals of the Champions League, with either Real Madrid or Chelsea the opponents in the last-four.

Progression in Europe’s top club competition comes alongside the pursuit of a third successive Premier League trophy, as well as an FA Cup final, with Sheffield United in the semi-final and Arsenal next up in the top-flight across the two games that follow the trip to Munich.

Ahead of the first of those three mammoth contests for Pep Guardiola and his players in the next 10 days, Manchester City have now finalised their preparations over in England. Here is a complete list of players spotted at the City Football Academy.

23-man Manchester City training squad ahead of Bayern Munich:

Goalkeepers: Ederson, Stefan Ortega, Scott Carson.

Defenders: Rico Lewis, Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, Manuel Akanji, John Stones, Aymeric Laporte, Sergio Gomez, Nathan Ake.

Midfielders: Kalvin Phillips, Rodri, Maximo Perrone, Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Cole Palmer.

Forwards: Riyad Mahrez, Julian Alvarez, Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish, Phil Foden.

Phil Foden makes his return to full first-team training after recovering from an appendix surgery during the most recent international break.

While the feeling was that Foden had initially targeted a return to action against Arsenal in the Premier League next week, the latest development would indicate that he could play a part in the weekend’s FA Cup semi-final against Sheffield United.
