Confirmed Match Officials: Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester City (Premier League)
Andy Madley will take charge of Manchester City’s trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon, it has been confirmed.
Pep Guardiola’s side will be looking to maintain their intense pursuit of Premier League leaders Arsenal at the top of the division this weekend, with Mikel Arteta’s side holding a five-point lead over their challengers.
However, based off the form book, challenges do not come any greater for Manchester City than an away trip to Spurs, with the reigning Premier League champions having failed to score a single goal thus far at the new home of the North London club.
While there had been plenty of warning signs following the turn of the year for Manchester City, Pep Guardiola appears to have reinstalled a sense of normality at the Etihad Stadium, with a strong run of wins across competitions preceding this weekend.
City’s 4-2 win over Tottenham in the reverse fixture at the Etihad Stadium was followed up by a 3-0 win over Wolves courtesy of an Erling Haaland hat-trick, before an FA Cup fourth round win over Arsenal gave the squad plenty of confidence in that particular battle this season.
In a fixture with plenty at stake, the Premier League have now outlined their selection of match officials to keep things in order in North London on Sunday.
