Manchester City have now found out that they will face Arsenal in the Emirates FA Cup fourth round later this month.

Pep Guardiola and his players booked their place in the next round of the competition via a relatively straight forward evening against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

A stunning Riyad Mahrez free-kick inside 25 minutes had put City ahead, before World Cup winner Julian Alvarez doubled their lead from the penalty spot, despite Kepa Arrizabalaga’s best attempts to put off the Argentina star.

It was 3-0 before half-time, as a well-worked team goal resulted in Kyle Walker sliding the ball across the six yard box for Phil Foden to tap home and give Manchester City an unassailable advantage.

Riyad Mahrez would then complete the evening, finishing off right where he had started, this time from the penalty spot after Phil Foden was brought down inside the Chelsea area in the final 10 minutes.

It was then over to Oxford United and Arsenal on Monday night, with the two sides rounding off another brilliant third round of FA Cup action at the Kassam Stadium.

After a tense affair in the opening 45 minutes – a first-half that saw neither side register a single shot on target – Mikel Arteta’s side finally showed their quality in the second half through three quick fire goals.

Mohamed Elneny’s opener was accompanied by a brace from Eddie Nketiah, with the current Premier League leaders going from 0-0 to 0-3 within the space of just 13 minutes.

As such, Manchester City will now face CLUB at the Etihad Stadium between Friday 27 January 2023 and Monday 30 January 2023, with full TV broadcaster and fixture details expected to be confirmed in due course.
