Confirmed Match Officials: Brighton vs Manchester City (Premier League)
Jarred Gillett will take charge of Manchester City’s Premier League clash with Brighton at the AMEX Stadium on Thursday night.
Manchester City return to Premier League action in midweek, aware that winning their last seven matches would guarantee a record-breaking fourth consecutive league title, and sixth of the Pep Guardiola era.
The Sky Blues haven’t played a league match since a 5-1 win over Luton Town earlier this month, with Manchester City having beaten Chelsea at Wembley Stadium in the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday evening.
The 1-0 win, courtesy of Bernardo Silva’s 84th minute goal, allowed the Cityzens to successfully bounce back from last Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final exit to Real Madrid on penalties.
Manchester City are unbeaten in their past five matches against Brighton, and beat Roberto De Zerbi’s side 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium in the reverse fixture in October, after first-half goals from Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland.
Phil Foden scored during a 1-1 draw on the Blues’ last visit to the AMEX, with the May 2023 clash coming after City had already been crowned as Premier League champions.
Ahead of Thursday’s clash between Brighton and Manchester City, the Premier League have announced the Match Officials for the fixture.
