Manchester City have one of the top three best footballers in the world at present, according to Phil Foden during a recent interview.
The latest comments come at a time when the Premier League champions are in an exceptional run of form, having won all 10 of their previous matches across all competitions, winning a trophy along the way.
City claimed a maiden FIFA Club World Cup title in Saudi Arabia back in December, sparking the start of a ten-game winning run boosted by the returns of Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland in the following January.
Speaking on the return of Kevin De Bruyne to Manchester City action in recent weeks, Phil Foden admitted that the Belgian playmaker looked sharp immediately, whilst also ranking the 32-year-old as one of the finest around at present.
“He looked sharp straight away,” Foden explained during a recent conversation with TNT Sports.
He continued, “When he’s at it, he’s top three best players in the world.
“I don’t see anyone who can pass or cross the ball like him so if we going to win anything, we’re going to need Kevin (De Bruyne) back to his best.”
Kevin De Bruyne will likely play a significant role in any further silverware success seen by Manchester City this season, and is already proving his worth on the goalscoring front with a string of assists in his recent outings.
De Bruyne combined with Erling Haaland once again on Saturday afternoon, feeding the Norwegian in on goal to slide past Jordan Pickford to double the Champions’ lead and confirm all three points in the process.
