Pep Guardiola has received a triple fitness boost this week with the return of three of his first-team stars to Manchester City training.
The Manchester City manager has had to manage for the most part of the ongoing season without the services of his star playmaker Kevin De Bruyne, but was buoyed by the return of the Belgian international to his matchday squad over the weekend.
De Bruyne – despite being named among the substitutes for the visit of Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon – played no part in the contest, but his coach revealed that it was only a matter of time before he could take to the field again.
Now, the 32-year-old has been joined by two of his attacking partners in a development that is sure to excite Manchester City fans ahead of a crucial phase of the season across all competitions.
As per photographs revealed by ManCity.com, Kevin De Bruyne continued his road towards full recovery in first-team training at the City Football Academy, joined by compatriot Jeremy Doku and superstar forward Kevin De Bruyne.
Next up for Manchester City is the return of the FA Cup, as Pep Guardiola and his players hope to retain the trophy for the first time under the Catalan coach, having won the trophy in 2019 and then in 2023.
City take on Championship side Huddersfield Town at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon, with Pep Guardiola addressing the media ahead of the contest on Friday afternoon providing an update on his entire squad fitness.
