Confirmed Line-Ups: Manchester City vs Crystal Palace (Premier League)
Manchester City return to Premier League action this weekend ahead of a brief break from the top-flight with duties in Saudi Arabia awaiting the Champions.
Pep Guardiola and his players have certainly got their mojo back, having bounced back from four matches without a win to ensure victory in their last two matches against Luton Town and Crvena zvezda.
It was a comeback victory under the highest pressure at Kenilworth Road last time out in the Premier League, as second-half strikes from Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish prevented a shock result against the top-flight newcomers.
In midweek, Manchester City ensured it would be six wins out of six for the very first time in the club’s Champions League group stage history, as a heavily rotated side won 2-3 in Serbia courtesy of club-first goals for debutant Micah Hamilton, Oscar Bobb, and Kalvin Phillips.
City will still be without some of their key attacking names this weekend, with Erling Haaland and Jeremy Doku expected to play no part in the meeting with the Eagles, while Kevin De Bruyne is targeting a return to action in the new year.
As for Crystal Palace and Roy Hodgson’s coaching staff, the south London side will be without up to nine first-team names as they battle a ravaging injury crisis at Selhurst Park and try to prevent a major drop down in the Premier League table.
Ahead of kick-off in east Manchester on Saturday afternoon, both Pep Guardiola and Roy Hodgson have now confirmed their respective starting line-ups.
