The 23-year-old is currently in the middle of one of his finest campaigns since making the jump into Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City first-team squad from an individual point of view following a significant increase in goal contributions so far.
Across Phil Foden’s 22 appearances for City in all competitions so far this season, the prized academy graduate has offered a total of seven goals with a further five assist for his Treble-winning teammates.
Goals against the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham will almost certainly have been the high points of the season so far, but off-field events will give Phil Foden even more reason to smile when he returns to action this weekend.
Revealing the news on his official Instagram page through a story upload, Phil Foden has this week revealed that he has passed his driving test, showcasing the certificate to make the news official in a wholesome photo.
Since stepping up into the role of a regular first-team fixtures, Phil Foden has been granted lifts to and from the Etihad Stadium and City Football Academy from fellow teammates and those within his close circle.
Foden and his Manchester City teammates will be stepping up their preparations at the latter this week, as they hope to return to winning ways in the Premier League following a crushing 1-0 defeat against Aston Villa on Wednesday night.
Pep Guardiola and his players travel to Luton Town to take on the newly-promoted side at the iconic Kenilworth Road, in a fixture that also precedes their final UEFA Champions League group stage game of the season against Crvena zvezda in Belgrade, Serbia.
