Confirmed Line-Ups: Manchester City vs Liverpool (Premier League)
Pep Guardiola has named his Manchester City team for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City welcome Liverpool to the Etihad Stadium looking to move four points clear of the Merseyside club at the top of the Premier League table.
The Blues, who drew 4-4 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge prior to the international break, face three crucial upcoming home fixtures; with Liverpool, RB Leipzig and Tottenham all preparing to visit the home of the treble-winners.
Manchester City are unbeaten at the Etihad Stadium since December 2022, but have won just two of the previous seven meetings between themselves and Liverpool.
Julian Alvarez, Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Jack Grealish were all on the scoresheet the last time Liverpool visited the Etihad Stadium, as Manchester City came from behind to beat the Reds 4-1.
Manchester City are at risk of potentially being without a number of first-team stars for Saturday’s clash, with nine players suffering injuries either during or prior to the international break.
Erling Haaland is amongst the Blues’ injury concerns, meanwhile Matheus Nunes and Mateo Kovacic are all doubts. Jack Grealish has not been spotted with the home squad ahead of kick-off but John Stones has been deemed available to feature.
Rodri, who suffered an injury during international duty, is also one yellow card away from suspension, therefore at risk of potentially missing Tottenham’s visit next weekend.
Ahead of kick-off at the Etihad Stadium, Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp have now confirmed their respective starting line-ups.
