Manchester City have put together their final preparations before Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League clash with BSC Young Boys at the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola’s side can secure qualification for the knockout stages of the Champions League in midweek, as Manchester City bid to retain their European crown, after lifting the trophy for the first time in the club’s history in June.

The Sky Blues are unbeaten in the competition for over a year ahead of Tuesday’s meeting with Young Boys, who visit the Etihad Stadium following a 3-1 defeat to Manchester City in the reverse fixture in October.

Erling Haaland’s brace ensured Manchester City’s third successive win in Group G, after Manuel Akanji’s opening goal was cancelled out by Meschak Elia at the Wankdorf Stadium in Bern.

Manchester City are unbeaten at home for 22 successive matches, and extended that streak on Saturday, thumping AFC Bournemouth 6-1 at the Etihad Stadium to move to the top of the Premier League table.

Jeremy Doku was directly involved in five of the Blues’ six goals, however Erling Haaland was forced off at half-time with a suspected ankle injury.

The Norway forward isn’t Guardiola’s only injury concern, after full-back Sergio Gomez was pictured on crutches ahead of Saturday’s win over the Cherries in the Premier League.
